Feasibility study of projects for sustainable and balanced development
Office for Projects Review and Evaluation
- As the heart of planning and development department, the office performs the following tasks:
- Carrying out comprehensive studies to locate future petrochemical projects;
- Defining the necessary plans to meet the needs and socio-economic impacts of petrochemical projects;
- Estimation of ancillary services and specific infrastructural facilities for each project;
- Defining infrastructure plans for special zones and submitting them to the investment department to attract investors;
- Developing and updating study and decision-making methods in relation to projects’ location;
- Macro technical-economic design of projects envisaged in the development plans in order to estimate the amount of investment, employment, infrastructure and feedstock needed for the projects;
- Evaluation of the projects submitted by investment applicants and approving them to receive the necessary permits;
- Defining and updating investment estimation methods and performing economic calculations;
- Shaping empowerment policies of the non-governmental sector in the field of engineering, construction and operation;
